Cybergames is free to play and run by one person. These terms are short on purpose. Using the site means you accept them.
What this is
A set of daily and level-based puzzle games about IT topics — cybersecurity, networking, cloud, software development and the rest. It is free, it has no advertising, and it sells nothing. Puzzle content is written for entertainment and for learning the vocabulary of a field; it is not professional advice, and it should not be the thing you rely on for a certification exam or a production decision.
Your account
An account is optional. If you make one, keep your Google sign-in secure — anyone who can sign in as you can see and erase your progress. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page, and doing so removes your data with it.
We may suspend or remove an account that is being used to attack the service or to harass someone. In practice this has never come up, and we would rather it stayed that way.
Fair use
Please do not:
- scrape, bulk-download or redistribute the puzzle library;
- hammer the servers with automated traffic, or try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to any part of the service;
- submit forged results in order to sit at the top of somebody else’s stats page.
Solving a puzzle by reading the page source is between you and your conscience. It is not what these terms are about.
Content and ownership
The puzzles, the code and the design are ours. You may share your scores and result grids freely — the share button exists for exactly that — and you may quote or screenshot the site for reviews, teaching and commentary. You may not republish the puzzle set as your own or use it to build a competing product.
Availability
The site is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind. It may go down, lose data, change, or stop existing, possibly without notice. Keep nothing here that you would be upset to lose — it is a puzzle game, and your streak is not a document of record.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you have paid to use it, which is nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top will say when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute.
