Privacy Policy
Cybergames is a small puzzle site run by one person. It has no advertising, no third-party analytics and no trackers. It stores the least it can get away with: enough to know who you are when you sign in, and enough to remember which puzzles you have solved.
What is collected
If you sign in with Google
Signing in is optional — the whole site is playable signed out. If you do sign in, Google tells us your email address, your display name and your profile picture URL, and we keep the tokens Google issues so the session can be verified. We never see your Google password, and we ask Google for nothing beyond basic profile and email.
Gameplay
For each puzzle you finish we record which puzzle it was, whether you solved it, your score, stars, elapsed time, number of mistakes, number of hints used, and when you finished. Per track and game we also keep the level you have reached and your star total. That is the entire gameplay record; there is nothing else attached to it.
On your device
Your progress, your daily history and your theme choice are kept in your browser’s local storage so the site works signed out and offline. That data never leaves your device unless you sign in, at which point it is merged with your account so the same progress follows you to another browser.
Cookies
Session cookies only, and only once you sign in — they are what keeps you signed in between page loads. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no cross-site tracking of any kind. Signed out, the site sets no cookies at all.
How it is used
To sign you in, to show your stats and streaks, and to unlock levels as you clear them. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone for marketing. It is not used to train anything.
Who else sees it
Google, if you choose to sign in with it — that is governed by Google’s own privacy policy. The hosting and database providers that run the site process the data on our behalf in order to serve it back to you. Nobody else. We will disclose data if the law actually requires it, and not otherwise.
How long it is kept
Until you delete it. There is no scheduled purge, and equally no reason for us to hold on to an account you have asked us to remove.
Deleting your data
Both controls are on the Settings page and neither needs an email to us:
- Reset progress wipes your results, levels, stars and daily history — on this device, and on the server too if you are signed in — while keeping the account itself.
- Delete account removes the account and everything attached to it: results, progress, sign-in records and sessions. It is immediate and it cannot be undone.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and it will be removed.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that affects what we collect will not be applied retroactively to data already gathered under the old terms.
